Bulgaria v Alderney

Jamie Sanderson took 4-15 to help Alderney ease to a 57-run victory over Bulgaria in the opening match of the 2009 Carmel EuroTwenty20 tournament.
After losing the toss Alderney set Bulgaria a commanding total of 139 thanks to Ryan Capazario's knock of 48 while Andy Lawrence (21.) and James Butel (25) also chipped in with valuable contributions to give them an additional batting point.
Georgi Velinov (2-21) finished the pick of the Bulgaria attack while Vladimir Ruskov (1-39) and Saif-ur-Rehman (1-15) both finished with a wicket apiece.
Bulgaria were unable to capitalise during the power-play and lost Oleg Ktsarski (10) and Ivaelo Katsarski (5) in quick succession as well as key wicket Rehaman (0).
Despite a battling effort by opener Vikram Tewatia, who finished unbeaten on 37, Bulgaria quickly fell behind the rate and totalled 82/5 from their 20 overs.
